Yes, we’re still laughing too. Not at the hilarious pun interwoven into our headline, but at the latest incomprehensible decision to be announced by Sega.
The firm’s US wing has announced that it has no plans to release the almost finished Altered Beast rework in the States, despite it seeing full launches in both Europe and Japan.
No official line has been given as to why Sega America has pulled the game, though the swirling negativity that has surrounded it is likely to be factored in somewhere along the line.
For reference, Altered Beast, a PlayStation 2 exclusive, hits Japan in January, followed by a European launch at Easter.

I need to alter the beast my PS2 that's making that damn noise before I even think of buying this game. Whatever it is, it sounds terrible.
Unlucky folk stateside won't get AB, any new Sega title is very welcome while we wait for Sega Rally 2005 etc.

Too true Joji. I cant for the life of me work out why the states arent getting this but will it be that big of a disappointment to them? Im personally not too hyped about the title TBH.
