Killer 7 has come under the scrutiny of the worlds’ gaming press over the last few months, following Capcom’s seeming reluctance to show the game running under any circumstances.
Rumour has been escalating for some time that the game has been held back on quality issues at Capcom or pressure from Nintendo, depending on who you listen to, though speaking to SPOnG last week, Capcom last week denied any such problems existed.
To date, Capcom has only staked out a release period for Japan for Killer 7, with the title due on stores there at some point in spring next year. No official line for its emergence into the US and Europe has yet been disclosed.
However, on a more positive note, a new batch of screenshots has been dished out from the game, and as ever with Killer 7 art assets, they look absolutely fabulous. The images appear to show the until-now unseen hand-to-hand combat elements of the game, as well as detailing the (rather natty) zoom functionality of one of the weapons.
Killer 7, the former GameCube exclusive, has always figured highly on SPOnG’s list of big games since it was first uncovered as part of the enhanced Nintendo support plan from Capcom.
