Sony Computer Entertainment Japan has released the latest batch of screens from the exhausted development kits of Polyphony Digital, and the studio’s looming standards-buster: Gran Turismo 4.
The game’s information drip-feed, which in fairness is in lieu of the game being released, has deemed fit to pipe into our bloodstreams images of snow-covered rally levels, again firing a warning shot across the bows of those developers who spend their time making just rally games.
Indeed, for information available to date, GT4 is set to offer as much dedicated rallying as many stand-alone products in the genre, a dazzling thought considering the trillion cars and billion tracks, crafted to absolute perfection and running at a blistering 60 frames-per-second, that we have already been promised.
And yet more motor-loving is shown, this time a nostalgia trip hinting at the seemingly endless amount of cars included by Kazunori-san’s track meet induced madness. As you will see, we have a beetle and a natty little Fiat 500, sat there screaming for a stage three turbo (perhaps a Garratt T28) and some lovely silver wheels.
As ever, when anything new surfaces regarding Gran Turismo 4, including the seemingly unavoidable next release date slip, we’ll let you know.
