Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest Favourites To Feature In Itadaki Street Special
There’s good news for the RPG and strategy loving Square Enix fanbase today, in the form of Itadaki Street Special’s announcement. That might not ring any bells straight away, but the full title: Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest in Itadaki Street Special, might sound a little more tempting.

The Armor Project/Square Enix title is basically an elaborate board game affair: with dice, card-battling and those sorts of shenanigans. It would perhaps be best described as a cross between Mario Party and Final Fantasy Tactics, obviously with a generous sprinkling of favourite characters from the Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest series thrown in.

Itadaki Street Special is due for a PS2 release in Japan this winter, and perhaps unsurprisingly, there has been no mention of US or Pal versions thus far.

The advantage of Mario Party series is the four player mode without the need for a multi-tap. Due to PS2 having two ports this might struggle to take off as much, but the rpg characters featured might sell it to people on the other hand.

I'd buy a copy if it's good enough, regardless of region.
