Marucome has announced today that it will be releasing a version of Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life for PS2. Carrying the Japanese name Bokujou Monogatari Oh! Wonderful Life, this will essentially be a re-working of the recently released gamecube version with a few additional flourishes. Marvelous Interactive will be publishing Harvest Moon in Japan, but Natsume – who have handled the non-Japanese publishing of previous titles in the series, has yet to announce any plans for US or European iterations.
It’s quite likely that this PS2 version could form the backbone of the proposed PSP version, although that has not been explicity suggested by the developers. On a different note, the second Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life title, recently confirmed for release on Gamecube, is widely believed to be a ‘girl’s edition’ of the same game: rather than a straight up sequel. That would certainly explain why the ‘Wonderful Life’ bit of the title has been retained.
As and when we can pluck more ripe grains of Harvest Moon news from the furrowed meadows of game-related revelations, we shall deliver them fresh to your capacious plates.
