Choppers at the Ready – Activision Gets Custom Bike Show License

Activision has announced that it will be working on an American Chopper game for PC and consoles, having successfully struck up a deal with Discovery Consumer Products. For those unfamiliar with American Chopper, it’s a specialist motorcycle show that follows greasy, moustachioed biker folk as they race to build their very own customised dream machines.
There have been no further details so far, but it would be nice to think that the game will go beyond mere racing. It’s an ideal opportunity for some comprehensive tuning and tweaking, hardcore mechanical jiggery-pokery and some ludicrous paint-jobs, so let’s hope the curse of formulaic gaming-by-numbers doesn’t deny the title from meeting its full potential.
