According to an interview on GameSpot, Electronic Arts will be releasing a version of the ancient, though very much loved Madden series for Nintendo’s upcoming DS platform.
Although no specifics have been mentioned, speculation as to how the console will be employed to host the game is rife, with the ability to map out plays on the lower screen setting the Madden community off into a frothing brew of excitement.
The WiFi possibilities for Madden DS are also a keen point of interest, with current iterations of the series on home console constantly amongst the online favourites on any system.

I haven't played Madden in years but this might bring me back to it with a nice edge. Being able to scribble your play tactics onto the touch screen would really do a lot for this game. Previous titles have set up plays to select from, so to be able to do your own would shift the game to a lot of yanks especially. I'd also consider it.
Would also be nice if you could do this in FIFA aswell. Hope you are listening EA. Good move. Maybe now you can put in the mic option so you can give orders to your team via radio, just like the they do in the real game.

I sure hope the "Draw-a-cheerleader" option doesn't get booted before the final version.
