Brand New Pokemon Medley Announced for GBA
Nintendo Japan has, by way of the latest issue of Dorimaga magazine, revealed an all-new Pokemon title, scheduled for release in the country in mid-September.

Essentially, Emerald is to Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire what Yellow was to Red and Blue and Crystal was to Gold and Silver. If that seems a little confusing, investigate our archives, or just give up: the world of Pokemon is fraught with some of the most terrifying gaming danger one can encounter.

Pokemon Emerald will bolt together the Ruby and Sapphire offerings into one cart with Rayquasa taking the lead. Two new characters, a boy and a girl, are also thrown in, as is a handy GBA wireless adapter.

We’ll bring you news on the possibility of a western release as soon as we receive any details.

Disapointed. I thought Leaf Green and Fire Red filled that money grabbing void. Sigh. No new Pokemon yet. Was hoping for a DS Pokemon as well. What they should do is make a game with all the gyms, Pokemon and bad guys from all the Pokemon games (Red/Blue/Silver/Gold/Ruby/Saphire) perhaps put it on the DS which could handle it. That is somthing I would buy.

Never know, you might get your wish. I think a DS Pokemon game is inevitable, and the series is bound to make Nintendo a lot of cash for ages yet, the same way Advance Wars does for older gamers.

I didn't play N64 Pokemon so maybe we might see it again on DS, if not an all new DS version.

Only one I ever bought was Pokemon Blue for my niece, the rest can wait til I see them in a bargain bin.

Why make a new game? Just make a few changes to the same game and, presto! One million copies+ sold!
