Following on from our report detailing rumour doing the rounds that Nintendo is poised to release a wireless version of the E-Reader in some shape or form, Nintendo Japan sought today to clarify the position through SPOnG.
“Nintendo, including NCL, is not releasing a new version of the E-Reader,” we were told. “Some games support both wireless play on the GBA and E-Reader.”
So that’s that, then.

The E-READER as we know it (and surely any other way) looks to be done for. I remember when it first came out, I thought it'd be the answer to all my old-skool gaming needs. Instead the Big N's just putting old titles on carts now. I guess the E-READER was always more of a novelty than anything else though.
