The Global Gaming League has announced the start of its 2K4 Online Season, purportedly, "the world's largest online gaming tournament". Members of this global gaming community will be competing for $75,000 worth of prizes. According to GGL Founder and CEO, Brett W. Hawkins, Jr. this will be "the largest purse ever to our online members".
There are 9 games (or events) to compete in, focusing on PC gamers' favoured genres: the FPS and the RTS. The titles are as follows: Counter-Strike, Quake III, Unreal Tournament 2004, Call of Duty, Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory, Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne, Starcraft: Broodwar, Age of Mythology: The Titans and Age of Empires II: The Conquerors. If you reckon you're a dab hand at any or all of the above, it could be you scooping some delightful freebies in the coming months.
