Tekken 5 Characters Revealed

Namco re-introduces Julia Chang, Craig Marduk and Jack 5.

Namco has landed a triple hit combo this morning with new information regarding Tekken 5 for PS2 and arcade. Here's the lowdown on three of the latest characters, namely Julia Chang, Craig Marduk and Jack 5, each of whom is fleshed out with the accompanying screens and artwork.

Julia Chang, the lovely young lady with a propensity for Native American fashions, is returning to the Tekken Tournament in the hope of retrieving the research data required to resurrect the lost forest. That seems like as good a reason as any to get involved in a fist-fighting bruise-a-thon.

Craig Marduk is the big angry fella. Apparently, he was defeated by King in the last tournament and seeks to wreak his revenge. Judging by the images, Craig also shouts a lot, perhaps because his spandex cycling shorts are a bit on the restrictive side.

Jack 5 is the fifth build of the Gunjack fighting robot, and is much the same as previous incarnations. It's still got that preposterous synthetic yellow Mohican too.

Until Tekken 5 is released this autumn, feast your eyes on the latest snippets of artwork and character select screens enclosed.

Cool artwork. Really wanna play this game. Hey that Marduk dude looks like Stone Cold, how weird.

By the way, Namco perhaps you should try a different hairstyle for Eddy, cause not all black folk have dreadlocks. Capcom also fell into this stereotype with Dee Jay, even though he was designed by their U.S branch. The nice flipside of this was the very english Chris Eubank like boxer Dudley and brazilian Sean in Street Fighter 3rd Strike, so thank you for them Capcom. Perhaps Dudley was a better replacement for fallen from grace boxer Mike Tyson like M-Bison. Who knows.

Maybe it's just me but I think this needs to be touched upon. Why do some nations think we are all jamaican, or represent us as such (yes me is black)? Blame the movies, music and tv for that one.

Since Namco's 50th anniversary is approaching I'd like a Tekken compilation of 1-3, hope you are listening Namco.
