Nicely complementing today’s Halo 2 box art offering comes this; finalised Halo 2 Limited Collectors’ Edition packaging in the form of a big exciting tin!

A press release for the set explains that what has been dubbed by Halo 2 fans as ‘The Tin of Glory’ will contain the following goodness:

The limited edition 2-DVD disc set contains (contents subject to change in final shipping):

  • The entire Halo 2 game and a second DVD with bonus content.

  • The Making of Halo 2: Behind the scenes of Bungie Studios.

  • Featurettes on game design, animation, music and more.

  • Deleted cinematics and characters.

  • Art gallery, from concept to game.

  • Commentaries from the development team, and much more.

Game Features:

  • Explore the world of Halo 2: The closely-guarded plot of Halo 2 will feature new vehicles, new weapons and new environments, as well as new enemies, allies and surprises around every corner.

  • Enhanced gameplay: Significantly improved graphics, enhanced AI, destructible and interactive environments, and an advanced real-time lighting engine.

  • Intense combat action: Players can wield dual weapons, board opponents’ vehicles, and in multiplayer mode, can even switch sides and take the role of a Covenant Elite.

  • Xbox Live support: Halo 2 will bring Halo’s unique social experience to a higher level with Xbox Live, including online multiplayer play, new multiplayer maps, and in-game player stats.

Cool, huh? We are unsure at to whether a version of this will be offered outside of the US, though there’s a pretty good chance we reckon. We’ll let you know, but in the meantime, enjoy the tin!

At the risk of sounding lame, I just purchased an XBOX today. It was the last promotional HALO bundle they had.

Sure MS is coming out with a new system in 2005, but I just had to experience LIVE in its prime. Besides, from what I've heard, it may take a while for buyers to grab up the new console.

Here's hoping Conker and Halo 2 turn out better than they look. I sold a lot o' stuff on eBay to afford it.

Welcome to the club! I too got one not long ago (last saturday), and already have a bigger collection for it than any of my consoles of the current generation (i now own all 3). First thing i did was get Project Gotham traded in and buy some better games, and kept Halo of course.

The next Box probably won't hit til 2006, so enjoy the next 18 months of fun. Conker will rule- the N64 game was highly enjoyable, and i doubt updating it will spoil that. As for Halo 2- well, the XBox conference at E3 is what sold me the console, and that played a heavy part in it, so....
