This November will see the welcome return of Ratchet and Clank in Up Your Arsenal. Given the relative success of Ratchet and Clank 1 and 2, the formula will remain largely untouched. Like the saying goes, if it ain’t broke, then carry on running around expansive sci-fi environments, collecting huge numbers of nuts, bolts and other mechanical components.
Following the trend for 2004, this sequel will also carry an online multiplayer mode, alongside six multiplayer-specific levels. For the single player quest, Insomniac has implemented a few nips and tucks, including sequences like The Gauntlet Challenge, which will force the duo though various gameplay elements in rapid succession. There will also be new weapons like the very cool looking Plasma Whip, and new gadgets such as the laser beam-refracting - wait for it - Laser Beam Refractor.
