Conference bombshell sees devastated PAL region

Nintendo denied DS this year!
Nintendo's European fans will again be feeling cheated and disenfranchised today, following the revelation that the DS will not see a release this year in the continent.

At Nintendo’s annual pre-E3 press conference this, it was announced that although the portable will hit retail before Christmas in Japan and the US, the European roll-out will not commence until quarter one of 2005, widely seen to indicate an Easter release.

No reason was offered for the lag, though production capacity can be assumed to be the cause. Some Americans did cheer when the news was announced - not displaying the spirit of the International Brotherhood of Nintendo Nuts we had perhaps hoped for and expected.

We’ll make sure to get to the bottom of the delay tomorrow when we meet with NOE, so check back then.

I can understand why this is kinda happening. Less time to translate japanese to english, and get maximum release sales. It does hurt that we have to wait once again, but I may have an import one, by the time the uk/euro version is due. If not I have other stuff to play, to ease the wait.
