News reaches us this morning of the Interplay-bred, Avalon Interactive-published titles Run Like Hell and Hunter: The Reckoning and their upcoming release for Xbox in May, at the low, low price of £19.99. The numbers are low, yes, but there's nothing stingy about the gameplay on offer here.

Run Like Hell has the player assume the role of exiled military man Nick Connor, a former hero living out his days in isolation on a mining space station. On returning from a routine excavation, Connor finds his world subject to alien invasion, and that's where the fun begins. The Xbox version has been subject to a selection of extra features, including a new level and downloadable content from Xbox Live.

Hunter: The Reckoning suits its 18+ PEGI rating well. It's a blood-drenched, third-person shooter that reminds us a little bit of Dobermann (bonkers, ultraviolent French feature film from 1997) for those who like to get interactive.

Both games will be available next month from all good retailers, and some rubbish ones too.
