Need For Speed: Underground 2 Screeches Into View
As sure as eggs is eggs, we always figured that Need For Speed: Underground would be ripe for a sequel, and what do you know, Electronic Arts has officially announced it will be with us later this year.

New game modes are promised, along with deeper performance customisation and tuning, 30+ licensed cars and "billions" of possible car combinations to give your motor that personal touch. EA Canada is currently lubing up the new NFS: Underground for all contemporary platforms, due for release this November. At the time of writing, Need For Speed: Underground has sold more than five million copies worldwide in fewer than six months on sale. Those cats at EA sure know when they're onto a good thing...

Just the one piece of artwork so far - is that a New York skyline in the background?

I think that this game is poor. Need for Speed Underground is very tiresome and Burnout 2 is much better. How NFS sells 5million is mysterious to me.

Casual Gamers will buy anything. Wonder what Ea are going to do when the new fad comes in and the fickle casual games desert them.

Ah...I remember when Sunny Delight used to sell like hot cakes...

Yeah, and I remember when luimps of sponge, heated up in the oven, used to seel like hot cakes.

The Death for sunny D was when they tried to sell it as "Healthy"... what kid would want that?

Now they're trying to flog "Sunny D Sport" - Unleash the Power of Sun. Gracious.

But NfS:U was great fun. Medal of Hono(u)r Rising Sun was just masochism incarnate, though.

All the sponges round here would melt in a oven - um - apart from the real sponges they sell to ponces who think it's clever to use a animal skeleton that falls apart after its fifth use in place of a perfectly natural synthetic sponge.

Sunny D is an abomination. There has never beena sighting of a real orange within 40 paces of a bottle of that s**te. It's got something to do with the laws or repulsion or summat. It should be f**king banned - right after the hydrogenated vegatable oil.

Apart from flight sims. And RPGs. And strategy/management games.

They'll start developing to the new fad and take back the casual gamer. IP theft is the way of the winner - steal other publishers ideas and get them to market quicker. Remember how Antz came to cinemas before Bug's Life. Same thing there. If that fails, buy the enemy and absorb them into your brand. Worked for Inforgrames!

Doesn't it still? Kids will drink anything - after all they eat MacDonalds...
