According to a string of reports springing up towards the end of last week, it would appear that Namco has scheduled this May's E3 show to expose the eagerly-awaited fifth instalment in the best-selling Tekken series.

The game is expected to be shown for the System 246 arcade board, as well as PlayStation 2 and Xbox iterations, although a home console release isn't expected until the end of the year.

Interestingly, reports suggest that the series is in for something of a major overhaul, with network play apparently emerging as the dominant USP in number five.

Namco declined to comment on any speculation, though from what we can gather, the super-mainstream 3D battler will be making its debut at the May showcase.

Dude, I like to fight. That is to say, I like to win fights, losing fights sucks. And the time spent at ER could be better spent playing Final Fantasy 2.

I used to think that fighting games were sooo dull. Then somone who knows how to play them showed me how technical and creative it is to be truly great at fighting games. How the harcore players learn every nuance of a characters capabilities, and learn how to time their moves perfectly to exploit other characters weaknesses, and to chain moves to acheive killer effect. Now I look at the people who play fighting games in an entirely different light... I think they are sad freaks.

Is this, by any chance, because the French were not supportive of the US (and UK's) illegal invasion of Iraq?

If not, I apologise. But if so, please explain to me, what DID we invade Iraq for?

Here's a clue to help you get the right answer. For Dubya to avenge his father, and get Halliburton some big contracts.
