Following yesterday’s revelation that Street Fighter III 3rd Strike will be hitting PlayStation 2 in Japan, we have received word from sources close to Capcom that full online play will be included in the game.
The possibility of networking was in some doubt when any mention of the functionality, made popular on the defunct Dreamcast online service, was omitted in the Famitsu announcement.
Other features, including a gallery mode, extra characters and alternative outfits, as well as a bonus soundtrack disc released with the deluxe pack, are also expected in the game.
We’ll bring you news on the US and European versions, which are as-yet unannounced, as soon as possible.
