Street Fighter III 3rd Strike Confirmed for PlayStation 2!

In the latest issue of Famitsu, Capcom has announced that it will be bringing to market a PlayStation 2 version of the beloved, ultra-complex Street Fighter III 3rd Strike.
The game will be released at some point this summer in Japan, and is widely expected to roll out across the world later in the year. Speaking to us this morning, a Capcom Europe spokesperson stated, "A European version of the game is as yet undecided. We will be making an announcement in a week or so," so no confirmation of a PAL release at this time.
Japanese players however will be granted the opportunity to buy the game as a stand-alone product, or pick it up in some kind of exciting collectors’ edition, crammed with books and CD ROMs and the like.
The one question on the lips of 3rd Strike fans will be something like, "We really liked the Dreamcast online stuff. Will it there be anything like this for PlayStation 2?" To which the answer is...'no one knows at the moment'.
Be patient and all will be revealed soon.
