Final Fantasy X-2 Claims Top Spot

Plus! Someday your Prince will come. And! A gentle reminder to be good to your PC.

Electronic Arts has predictably taken control at the top of the All Formats chart this week, with Final Fantasy X-2 taking the number one spot, nudging Sega's Sonic Heroes down to second place. Need For Speed: Underground is hanging in there at number three, and with FIFA 2004, LOTR: Return of the King and The Sims: Bustin' Out, EA-published games make up exactly half of the top ten.

Following last Friday's release of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time for Nintendo GameCube and Microsoft Xbox, the Ubisoft title has been catapulted from 38 to nine in the All Formats charts. On the GameCube chart the title takes the number 2 slot behind Sonic Heroes, and sites behind the GTA Double Pack on Xbox at number 3.

Finally, we must remember that it's not all fun and games at the top of the charts. Norton Internet Security 2004 remains the top title on PC (number five in All Formats) due to the prevalence of Microsoft Windows viruses.

New FF at number 1 - inevitable, don't you think?

As for POP, it's nice to know that folks are still playing GameCube - even nicer that Ubisoft decided to make POP available for it.

Need For Speed? There must be no other racing games on sale for that to be so successful.

A fairly predicatable week in the charts.

It's just good to see a Final Fantasy game localised from NTSC to PAL in reasonable time (3 months).

I never bought FFX, I got a bit bored with FF8. I think I remember reading that FFX was going to be on-line only, is that right? Or was that FF9?

Sorry, for all the questions... I guess what I'm trying to ask is, is FFX worth buying?

FFXI is online only, but it's easy to get them confused if you're not an ardent fan.

Is FFX worth buying? If you like RPGs, definitely. If not... maybe.

Well I liked FF VII, and I like the look of those chicks on the posters and adverts for FFX2. Are they in the game.

And why carnt SqEnix just number things logicaly. I mean, FFX2 is Final Fanstasy 10 part two, right. But that's mental isn't it? Why is it not just FInal Fantasy XII?

And you know like when they have Freddy Vs Predator, and Aliens vs Jason and sh*t like that in filmz, why don't they make it so that FF XIII is Final Fantasy in the XIII world? That'd own. 'n stuff.
