Electronic Arts, hot on the heels of the Burnout 3 announcement, has revealed that it has struck a deal with Free Radical to publish the next game in the awesome Time Splitters series.
Having failed to make headway with Eidos - a company with which so many developers struggle to work cohesively - EA has snaffled the rights to Free Radical’s high profile series and, in doing so, has taken charge of the spawn of what was essentially Rare’s GoldenEye team.
A multi-platform release has been confirmed, as has full online play - all good.
The only bad news is that there’s going to be something of a delay. The game is not due to ship until 2005, hinting that it might be one of the first titles available for the new generation of consoles…
All very interesting. Expect more meat on the bones at this year’s E3.
