Konami has announced what has to be seen as the latest game in the ever-expanding ‘perv-em-up’ genre, revealing its WWX Rumble Rose Wrestling for PlayStation 2, an all-girl wrestling game.
No doubt taking a cue from the success of games like Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball, a cast of delightful looking ladies has been assembled, all equipped with skimpy costumes and perfect make-up.
Of more interest is the development team at work on WWX, a situation that sees Konami co-develop the title with Yukes Entertainment, the developer of THQ’s Smackdown! series. As to whether this signals an end to Yukes’ relationship with THQ remains to be seen, though the American publishing giant will undoubtedly find news of the joint development disturbing.
Expect a global release of WWX Rumble Rose Wrestling, which at this point is billed as a PlayStation 2 exclusive, towards the end of summer 2004.
