In an interview with respected gaming magazine Dorimaga, Sega’s director of software, Hideki Okamura, made some interesting comments relating to what might be in store for 2004.
First up, a new RPG game is planned that will be network compatible across several platforms. It was confirmed that this is not another game in the Phantasy Star series, but a completely new game.
It was also claimed by Okamura that a new game, that defies all current genre definitions, is in development. No other details were given, aside from the fact that both games are scheduled for this year.
So folks, you’ll have to wait a while, but then you’ll be able to play Super Online Pachinko RPG and Amazing New Pachinko Ungenreable – The Revenge! Or maybe not.
