One of 2004’s biggest releases for both Nintendo and Capcom, GameCube’s Resident Evil 4 remains the most elusive and mysterious. The only real piece of information at present is that Leon Kennedy, the do-gooder cop from Resident Evil 2, will play a lead role in RE4.
It has also been suggested that the Resident Evil series is nearing the end of its journey, with the fourth direct outing supposedly taking place inside Umbrella’s headquarters. But don’t take this as gospel - Capcom has changed direction with its Resident Evil games before.
There aren’t a great deal of screenshots at present, and Capcom is unwilling to divulge further info on the game, probably until E3 in May. All we know is it will be released in 2004, and probably the latter half too.
