Rockstar Belatedly Breaks Silence
World of surprise as 2004 GTA Double Pack announced.
We brought you news two weeks ago categorically stating that the Xbox version of the Grand Theft Auto Double Pack would not be coming out in Europe until January 2, 2004.
At the time, several other news outlets carried the story, to which - for no apparent reason - Take 2 and Rockstar took great offence.
Anyway, Rockstar has today announced the new release date for the pack. And to everyone’s huge surprise, it’s now coming out on January 2, 2004.
This move was forced by Sony, who insisted that the exclusivity agreement it had for the Grand Theft Auto series – from GTA 3 onwards - remained in place for its entire duration, or the end of this year, to be precise.
