SCEE has announced that European sales of PS2 hardware are still on the increase, stating that figures for the first half of the 2003 financial year are 25% up on the previous year.
This is due to a steady flow of popular mainstream software and forthcoming A-list releases. With PS2 beginning a downward spiral in Japan, this comes as good news, with Sony hoping to surpass its previous targets with PSOne, which now has a userbase of around 90 million. Global PS2 sales are currently estimated at around 60-65 million.
