In amazing news released by way of Japanese gaming mag Weekly Famitsu, it has been announced that Treasure - of Ikaruga and Radian SilverGun fame - is the development house charged with creating Sega’s Astro Boy for Game Boy Advance, due to hit shelves in Japan in December.
Yes indeed, it would seem that Treasure has now split into three internal studios, with one working on new Treasure games, another working on licensed home console software as well as a self-contained handheld studio.
Excellent news, we say.
Frustratingly, Sega Europe’s latest release schedule makes no mention of the game, a situation mirrored by Sega of America. As soon as we know more, you’ll be the first to know.
