After months of insider gossip over the future of what is without question the most revered game on the planet, Sony Computer Entertainment has chosen to break its silence over the future of Gran Turismo 4, exclusively here.
“I can confirm that GT4 will now be released sometime in the new year. As you know, we tentatively had the title scheduled for a Christmas release,” said SCEE’s David Wilson.
“But Polyphony Digital is a group of perfectionists who want to ensure that GT4 is the best it can be, so if that means it arrives a little later but the game is even better than the incredible version we've already seen, then hopefully the many fans of the franchise will agree it's worth the wait.”
So there we have it. After months of assurances that GT4 would make Christmas, it’s now clear that the game, which will almost certainly join its predecessors as an absolute graphical blueprint as to how videogames should be crafted, will now join the Easter melee alongside Halo 2 for Xbox and Twin Snakes for GameCube.
Better than Easter eggs at least, eh?
Stay tuned for everything Gran Turismo 4, as it brakes. Ha!
