Say “Halo” to Advent Rising and Black9

New screens at ECTS from Majesco and Vivendi Universal.

Vivendi Universal has a bunch of titles on show at ECTS to support the presence of Half Life 2, the one that everyone and his dog wants to see. In a bid to soothe the Half Life fever, two of the most interesting titles are a couple of games from Majesco – namely Black9 and Advent Rising – due for release in 2004.

Black9 is a stealth-em-up/RPG/Adventure game coming initially to PC and Xbox, and kinda looking like an Unreal title on steroids judging by these screens. Developed by Taldren, Black9 will incorporate extensive multiplayer support across all its platforms.

Advent Rising is a third-person role-player, this time developed by GlyphX Games. A collaboration between interactive entertainment and science fiction writing, novelist Orson Scott Card adds his personal sci-fi touch to the storyline behind Advent Rising, and will author a novel based on the game. Both game and book are scheduled for release in 2004.
