A source close to UK-based Street Racing Syndicate developer Eutechnyx has revealed that Namco has snapped up the fancied game in a $1.5 million swoop.
Street Racing Syndicate was without question one of doomed 3DO’s better-looking games and tipped by many to be the firm’s possible saviour. Its edgy driving theme made it the perfect candidate, a point made well by Namco’s impressive splash.
In related news, Ubi Soft acquired full rights to the Might and Magic series, including two games already in development, for $1.3. No details have been revealed as to what will be released.
As and when the rest of 3DO’s catalogue is snapped up, we’ll let you know.
