It has long been held that stealth gaming, to really deliver to its full potential, should be online, with gamers pitting their wits against human opposition, avoiding the AI minefield associated with the genre.
And news today sees Activision making the first such move, with the announcement that Tenchu for Xbox will indeed have Xbox Live support.
The new game, entitled Tenchu: Return From Darkness, is based on the well-received Wrath of Heaven for PlayStation 2, albeit with updated graphics, levels, NPCs, and so on. However, the most important development is that the game will feature heavy online elements, with co-operative and combative support making up a considerable amount of the game.
Activision promises six co-operative levels to launch with the game, with further downloadable content to be delivered at a later date.
We'll bring you more details, screens and gameplay information, as soon as possible.
