You may well have heard about Codemasters' Club Football range of 17 team-dedicated games. You may well be familiar with the website dedicated to the brand. Well, the inevitable has happened. Codemasters has gone the whole hog, and created dedicated websites for each of the 17 titles. It’s a feast of football!
It’s a huge undertaking by Codies’ webmaster (we salute you, sir) and the online presence is surely one of the most ambitious promotional events undertaken in selling a new brand. Individual sites have a host of features and details about the respective club’s games, with the focus on building towards launch in Autumn 2003. A quick glance at any of the sites (see below) will reveal a whole bunch of goodies: screenshots, gameplay features and modes, links to the related club’s official websites, and forums. Yes, forums, where those with a true passion for their club can get excited with one another – and start some verbals with their rival supporters!
