Speaking to Japanese press overnight in Tokyo, Nintendo developer Takeshi Kiyuna mentioned that the next portable in the 110 million selling Game Boy franchise will feature a bigger screen with a resolution of at least 300x200 pixels.

The current model features a 240x160 pixel screen. He also mentioned that the new machine will boast an impressive 260,000 colours.

Nintendo may reveal further information should Sony's PSP materialise, but until then, don't hold your breath.
