EA Sports has today released the latest screens taken from Rugby 2004, the latest instalment in the giant publisher’s market-leading Rugby sim.
Featuring an impressive 20 international teams, as well as the Super 12 and various domestic teams, EA is hoping to deliver the “rugby fan’s dream.” And it looks likely that it will.
Indeed, the PlayStation 2 and PC offering boasts awesome stats, with more than 1,500 real-life players included in the game, taking part in the World Cup, Tri-Nations, Super 12, Domestic, Master League and Friendly matches. A training mode is also included to get your virtual players up to speed.
To ensure a high level of realism, motion capture and ragdoll physics have been employed, seeing players reeling from tackles and moving in a life-like manner.
Expect to see both versions of Rugby 2004 in stores by September.
