It has been revealed that Hideo Kojima’s upcoming Metal Gear masterpiece will not feature its predecessors’ handy radar function. In the previous games, the radar was a fundamental aspect of the top-down stealth gameplay, allowing players to see the location and field of vision of their enemies.
With that ability gone, players will have to use other means to sneak past enemies, but line-of-sight is expected to be an important element of the new game, with a large portion of Metal Gear 3 set outdoors and in woodland areas.
We’ll keep you updated with the development of Metal Gear 3 as it happens.
