Snake Sneaks in to GameCube Line-up
The GameCube is the only current console not to have a Metal Gear Solid game in its library - now that's set to change as Nintendo owners go back to the origins of the series. Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes is based on the original PSX Metal Gear Solid game and has undergone a fairly thorough re-working. Much like the GC version of the first Resident Evil game, the storyline remains relatively untouched. However, the way in which Snake negotiates the story has been hugely improved upon using the GameCube's graphical prowess. We're promised all the excitement of the original plot and characters, combined with all the advanced jiggery-pokery as seen in the PS2 sequel.

Silicon Knights are taking care of development and, having proved their Cube credentials with Eternal Darkness, they should do the series proud. Mind you, by the looks of the way MGS 3 (PS2) is shaping up, the stakes have been nudged even higher.
