A Quick flash Of Lara's Assets

Tomb Raider: Angel Of Darkness looms closer.

Seeing as Angel Of Darkness is due for release next month, we were expecting Eidos to provide a bit of a demo for the E3 audiences. Indeed, Lara Croft has emerged from whatever tombs she's been raiding to reveal news on her upcoming adventure. It's the same Lara, but this time she's managed to get on the wrong side of the law.

The immediately obvious improvements to this latest rendition are superficial. Eidos has put plenty of work into impressing us with the improved animations, weather and lighting effects. Lara's feminine form now consists of 5,000 polygons (rather than 500) and environments have been nicely realized in considerable detail.

As Ms Croft negotiates the criminal underworld of Paris and Prague she becomes involved in all kinds of subversive plots. She'll have to evade the cops as she continues her voyage of discovery and there will be different ways in which to approach that. This is largely thanks to an RPG-style adjustable skill-set. Depending on the individual's style of play, Lara's attributes (and by that we mean abilities) will develop accordingly.

Tomb Raider: Angel Of Darkness is due for release on PC and PS2 on June 20th - five days before the release of a new Tomb raider feature film, 'Tomb Raider: Cradle of Life'.
