Latest Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles screens cause hysteria

SquareSoft of Japan has released screens from the latest build of Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles, the massively anticipated GameCube-only action RPG, due to hit Japan later this year.
As you can see, the game looks far better than it did the last time it was shown, with texturing, bump-mapping and all the swanky eye-candy promised by Square now looking to be in place.
As ever, the wait for a European release of the game is set to be a long one, with Nintendo insiders hinting that you won’t be seeing it before Easter of next year, a massive disappointment, compounded by the fact that Nintendo cynically advertised the game as “coming soon” as recently as last Christmas.
As soon as a date is set for a Euro release, you’ll be the first to know.
