Game Boy Advance gets free kiosk downloads
Nintendo of Japan has come up with a nifty idea for generating interest in the GameCube, the Game Boy Advance and the link-up capacity therein.

Specifically, the firm has released a set of in-store pods, with link-cables protruding from them. Gamers are invited to link up their GBA’s for, in the case of Nintendo Puzzle Collection for GameCube, a free version of the classic puzzler Dr Mario. The game is lost when the machine is powered down, but the concept of baiting us in to use kiosks on the premise of a free download is one to be applauded.

We’ll let you know if and when a Western equivalent is planned.
