It might be the wait for software. It might be the wait for the GBA SP. What ever it is, poor Nintendo isn't seeing the sales it deserves.
As the latest UK hardware figures are revealed, Nintendo has shown that it has fallen below expectations in the UK. While the PlayStation 2 sold just over 15,000 units in the week ending February 8, the GameCube managed just 1,764.
This was compounded by the lacklustre Game Boy Advance sales, managing only 4,249 sales in the same week, was outsold by the "sluggish" Xbox, which managed 7,744.
Nintendo is, however, guaranteed a spurt in sales and profits as the Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire releases draw ever closer. With dwindling development support and slowing sales, Pokemon will play a major role in the company's future success.
