F-Zero release date set
Sega Amusement Vision, in conjunction with Nintendo, has declared F-Zero AC ready for full scale public testing, at the Arcade Operators Union Expo, due to take place at the famous Makuhari Messe on February 21-22.

As we exclusively revealed some months ago, the TriForce game will be available in both standard and deluxe cabinets, with the deluxe version comprising a fully mobile affair not seen since the heady days of G-Lok 360 Air Battle.

What’s more, Sega’s distribution arm has already begun taking orders for both machines, telling major operators that the units will be available for shipping in early June.

If our Sega insiders are correct, and they usually are, F-Zero in the deluxe cabinet should prove to be one of the greatest coin-op experiences of the modern age. Furthermore, the prospect of data-share between the GameCube version is mouth-watering beyond description.

We will of course, bring you everything on F-Zero AC as soon as it breaks.
