It is thought likely that id Software’s seminal Doom game will see a release for Nokia’s GBA competitor, the N-Gage Mobile Game Deck, following the American publishing giant announcing support for the device.
In a trademark corporate statement, the firm said, "We are excited about the N-Gage game deck and intend to work closely with Nokia to create games for the new platform," said David Anderson, Director of Licensing and Business Development for Activision. "We believe that the system will help expand the demographics for video games and provide us with new opportunities to reach our audience."
This has sparked intense rumour about the possible games line-up from the company, with a version of Doom, complete with BlueTooth multiplayer support, though to be a frontrunner.
It is also believed that, if the PSone-porting process is as easy as Nokia would have us believe, versions of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater are also thought likely to appear.
