Confident Midway dusts off San Francisco Rush
Following the tremendous, and somewhat unexpected, success of Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance in the US market, Midway Games, obviously feels back in the pink and full of pith and vinegar.

This being said, it now feels that rehashing its old franchises is a good idea, following the disappointment that was Spy Hunter. Anyway, enough of that, the real news today is the announcement that the excellent arcade title San Francisco Rush is to be given an update, on either Xbox, PlayStation 2 or GameCube.

And what's more, Midway want you to help. In an unusual step, the development team is asking the public directly for help, surely a good thing.

You can help out by answering such teasers as, "What are your favourite driving games?" and "Do you have broadband access now or within 18 months?" surely an indication that the game may be online, probably on Xbox Live.

We also noticed that at some point in time, Midway acquired SF Rush from Atari. How did that slip past us...?

All good, stay tuned for more.
