We recently brought you news that a new Sonic the Hedgehog game is in the works at Yuji Naka’s Sonic Team videogame laboratory. We knew that this was set for home console, though our usual Sega sources could elaborate no further.
As it turns out, the game is a remake of the camera-diseased Sonic Adventure, as first seen on the Dreamcast way back in 1999. It will carry the name Sonic Adventure DX, some kind of deluxe extra bits, and only be released for GameCube.
We can hardly wait.
But fear not, little ones, this is, we can reveal, only the tip of the iceberg. Having spoken to Naka at some length last year, we know of the existence of an all-new game in the series, which, we’re sure you’ll agree, is very good news indeed.
Interestingly, the game will be released for PlayStation 2, Xbox and GameCube. This, we can exclusively reveal, is absolutely the case. Expect to see Sonic Adventure 3 in all its glory at this year’s E3 Expo in Los Angeles in May.
