Sega has revealed that the massively anticipated Xbox shooter, Panzer Dragoon Orta, will not make its original release date of November this year.
This will no doubt come as a blow to the legions of crazed dragon riding fans who have had to wait since the Saturn days for an update to the brilliant series.
"Sega decided to delay the release of Panzer Dragoon Orta in order to continue adding innovative features and content to the game and its stunning back story," said Mike Fischer, vice president of entertainment marketing at Sega of America. "Sega has a well-earned reputation for developing industry-leading content, and this decision reflects our commitment to quality."
This news will make a bit of a dent in its Xbox release-schedule Microsoft has been touting for the Christmas period. Panzer Dragoon is one of the most exciting games around on any platform at this point in time, with gamers whipping themselves up into a frenzy of anticipation, especially in Japan where the Panzer Dragoon series holds mythical status.
Expect to see Panzer Dragoon hit shelves in January next year.
