King of Fighters 2002 gets a home release date
Just a quick newsflash to keep our dogged SNK readership fanbase up to date with all things King of Fighters.

Playmore, the pachinko machine maker that managed to capture the intellectual property rights from the now defunct SNK, has announced that it will be releasing the Neo Geo home cartridge version of King of Fighters 2002.

The date for the Japanese release has been set at December 19 of this year and will cost 39,800 yen, around £215. The European and American releases, expected in spring next year, will most likely cost somewhere in the region of £300

In other news, we can reveal that several UK-based publishers are currently looking at buying the rights to King of Fighters 2002, as well as some other Neo Geo games. Although we have been sworn to secrecy, we can tell you that at least four companies have been offered Europe-wide rights to the games.

Stay tuned for more as it breaks.
