As we reported yesterday, Nintendo has signed a deal with Japan’s leading toy manufacturer Bandai to co-operate on several future game projects.
Despite the two giant companies being direct rivals in the Japanese handheld gaming market, the two firms have agreed that will see Bandai develop several games for the GameCube. The first game to be announced is One Piece, the wildly popular Japanimation series.
Nintendo will then promote these games throughout Asia and possibly Europe and the US.
This is not the WonderSwan announcement that was anticipated, but new GameCube games are always welcome. Expect to see One Piece hit stores early next year. A Gundam Wing game for the Cube was also announced.
