Germany's JoWooD Productions promise that this Christmas season will be filled with fun, and especially for gamers, as Santa Claus Jr. Advance launches on Nintendo's GBA on November 1.
The developers, JoWooD's own studio, Neon, have conducted a huge amount of research at each stage of the development process with children as young as five to guarantee that the Santa Claus Jr. Advance offers easy accessibility and a chimney stack-full of enjoyment.
The storyline begins as children across the world eagerly await their Christmas presents from Santa Claus. However, there is no peace on Earth or goodwill to all men, as evil lurks in the shape of a wicked witch who wants to ruin the happiness for all children, so she casts a spiteful spell on all animals and toys. They terrify the children so much, the youngsters are forced to flee and hide in any safe place they can find.
It's not all about Santa Claus, however. The real hero of the game is a youngster called Nick, who is called upon to find where the children are hiding, to help Santa deliver all his presents on time, and to negate the spell that has been cast. All this on Christmas Eve too!
JoWood's UK office has been kind enough to let us have these unique screenshots. It looks like this Christmas will be full of fun and colour after all. Let’s just hope that the release date doesn’t slip!
