Sony Computer Entertainment chief Ken Kutaragi has made some interesting comments to the Asian Wall Street Journal revealing surprising concerns about the possible future of the industry.
He said that although Sony is well on track to hit all its immediate sales targets, a slowdown predicted by some for the US economy may damage possible sales during the region’s invaluable holiday season.
“Our concern is whether the economy will sustain or crash over the next several months," said Kutaragi. “If Microsoft cuts [Xbox] prices to half, I don't care. Chasing share is not our business.”
And why should it be? Sony has defined what market share in the videogames industry means.
