Nintendo has released the first details on its upcoming E-Reader, a natty electronic device that transmits data to the GBA by way of magic cards. Well, by way of optical scanning really, but it looks like magic!
The pack announced for the US and likely to be mirrored for Europe includes the following:
1 x NES e-Card game: Donkey Kong Jr. or Pinball
1 x Game and Watch E-Card game (Manhole)
3 x Pokemon - The Card Game e-Cards
1 x Animal Crossing e-Card
All this will set back our American cousins $39.99 and of course includes the E-Reader itself.
Nintendo also revealed that it is gearing up to revive a ton of as yet unannounced NES titles in E-Card format, which we think is really excellent news. And who knows, perhaps with its new happy-happy, joy-joy relationship with Sega, a few Master System games could be on their way too?
The E-Reader is likely to hit UK shores in time for Christmas, although exact pricing has not yet been announced. As ever, stay tuned for more as it breaks.
